Mani Mantra
Mani Mantra OM MANI PEME HUNG (Sanskrit: ओं मणिपद्मे हूं) is the six-syllabled Sanskrit mantra particularly associated with the four-armed form of Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan Chenrezig), the bodhisattva of compassion. Mani means “jewel” and Padma means “the lotus flower”, the Buddhist Sacred Flower.
OM – purifies pride / ego
MA – purifies jealousy / lust for entertainment
NI – purifies Passion / desire
PE – purifies ignorance / prejudice
ME – purifies poverty / possessiveness
HUNG – purifies aggression / hatred
